Pillow Talk

Silence endures.

Light years.

No previews. No credits.

It’s as thick as knitted wool sweaters

And suffocating like splintered insecurity.

It is my silence, and his silence.

We are magnets reversed;

Forced into gravity by design –

Quite unable to fester,

Yet in a constant collide on

Emotions opposite poles.

A razor blade whittling a heart.

Leaking fangs…

Past thrown-away

Words refuse to retract,

Hoisting disgusting weights

Of silence on our shoulders;

Try to quiet

the screaming in the air.
